MBM Destroyit 4005SC includes the "SPS" (Safety Protection System) package which includes an electronically controlled, transparent safety shield in the feed opening, an "Easy Switch" control element that uses color codes and back-lit symbols to indicate operational status, an automatic reverse and power cut-off to prevent paper jams, an automatic power cut-off when the shred bag is full or when the cabinet door is opened, double protection against overheating, and an "ESM" (Energy Saving Mode) after 1 hour of inactivity. The automatic start and stop feature is controlled by a photo cell.
